MY FAVORITE COLLECTION FROM 2020
SHOT IN HOKKAIDO JAPAN
This collection represents the delicacy of fresh powder turns,
and good friends. Some of the things
that make a cold snowy winter,
the best time of the year.
For me, when I experience moments that truly move my soul, the sense of rush no longer controls me. This collection for me had zero rush, it was enjoyed thru many highs and many lows.
Shooting each shot was a major high point for me, I had manifested and thought about these days for a long time. During my trip in Hokkaido It seamed as if I was exactly where the universe wanted me to be, everyday the universe had something good in store for me, and everything throughout my days would flow and align me perfectly into endless experiences. I would describe it as this. Imagine a bunch of labeled strings in front of your eyes that were attached to something you wanted to experience, and whichever one you wanted all you needed to do was pull the string and the universe would provide everything to make it happen. That was my life in Hokkaido.
Processing these I felt certainly in a low, back in my hometown for the first time in a while my creativity was definitely at an all time low, my trip was finished and these shots were joined along with many other experiences as a part of my past. Something about finishing up shooting a project and experiencing something you manifested for many years bums me out lol!
This project is a reminder that powder turns, perfect days, endless snowfall with great friends are still ahead in the future, and although our world is hurting currently our community will be enjoying more days ahead. And to my friends lucky enough to be in Hokkaido this season, enjoy it for the rest of us!
