A December afternoon at El Yunque National Park

One of the few places I knew about before coming to Puerto Rico was El Yunque national park.

Lucky for me, staying in Fajardo we were just a 45 minute drive away. We found a Sunday afternoon free of rest and projects, and wound our way into the park to some fantastic views, driving thru bamboo tree’s the width of your torso, fern’s overhanging the roads and to some of the most pure air to breath in the world.

El Yunque rainforest see’s over 100 billion gallons of water per year making it the rainiest of all national forest. Home to over 240 species of plants and trees, if you’ve been to a rainforest you can almost taste the air looking at the views. This place to me is one I could have spent days shooting, but from a quick afternoon I feel I enjoyed myself and the views very much.
